Sunday Rituals: Ditch the Attitude, Practice Gratitude
In the first of our Sunday Rituals series, we'll focus on shifting our mindset to help start your week on a more positive note. Creating rituals or habits that you do every Sunday in order to prepare for the days ahead will help you get a jump start on the week and may alleviate a serious case of the Mondays, when the sudden weight of responsibilities can come crashing down on us.
The most productive, least stressful weeks are preceded by successful Sundays. Although a nice, relaxing Sunday can help us recharge, if we stagnate and don't prepare for the week ahead, it only makes Monday that much more difficult. Instead of lamenting the end to another weekend, embrace the opportunity that Sundays provide for a fresh start. Make a list of the things you NEED to accomplish, the things you're dreading most listed FIRST..get them out of the way. Then move onto your other tasks.
Don't forget to add in the non-negotiables, such as "me time" and family time. By setting intentions for the week, along with creating a plan to help you stick to short and long-term goals, you set yourself up for success. Simply changing how you approach Sundays can effect your mood for the entire week.
